2020 is our 40th Year!

It all started 20 years ago with a small business loan and a dream. John Bush and Jeff Heppler had graduated from SDSU with landscaping/horticulture degrees and team up with Jeff's parents, Ken and Carmen (pictured), to open James Valley Nursery & Ag Service in Mitchell. The young entrepreneurs lived in an old house and built a garage onto it to hold nursery and ag supplies. They kept bareroot trees in the basement. They held their first "Open House" here--literally at the house--in April of 1980. This is how it all began. Forty years later, we are still part of this amazing community and our business is now James Valley Landscape Solutions, with full service landscaping services and a massive selection of nursery stock.
