Randy and Sheila Boyd love spending summer in their gorgeous outdoor space just north of Mitchell, but wanted to extend the use of their backyard getaway into fall, winter and spring.
“We sketched out a rough idea of what we wanted, and Andy Jerke took it to the next level,” says Randy. “He added smart details that help us block the wind and take advantage of the sun and the shade. The end result is better than we ever thought and the crew at James Valley is awesome to work with.”
The upgraded space now includes a fireplace as well as a fire pit, built onto a large, beautiful patio. A highlight of the yard is a second 400,000 BTU firepit that really fires things up. A 7’ x 17’ endless pool featuring both a heated whirlpool and a motor that supplies current for swimming was also incorporated into the design. The pool has an electric lid so it can be used all year long.
The project began in May and was finished in August, despite the muddy, wet start. Prior to this recent landscape upgrade, James Valley helped the Boyds double the size of a pond on their property into a small lake now filled with fish.
“We are loving it,” says Randy. “We can’t wait to be outside this fall and winter, warm by the fire and enjoying nature.”
