This fall, James Valley Garden Center is having a Plant of the Week promotion you’ll really dig! Each week, our staff recommends a different plant to feature based on its beauty, popularity or unique qualities. We offer that plant to our clients at 25% off the entire week as a way to help give your landscaping a little extra boost. In addition to our Plant of the Week, you’ll also find specials on fall décor inside our Garden Center!
That being said, this week, August 27-September 2, our Plant of the Week is the hydrangea shrub and ornamental Hydrangea trees. Both varieties offer spectacular, showy blooms that last into September. New varieties can be planted in full shade, full sun, or partial sun—as long as you pay attention to the hardiness zone., and we can help you with that. Hydrangeas are gorgeous in your yard and last a long time when cut, making them a perfect flower for vases and bouquets. This is a classic plant reminiscent of lazy summer days at grandma’s house and is definitely a favorite of the James Valley staff! Get your hydrangeas at 25% off and add some show-stopping beauty to your outdoor spaces.
As you can tell, just because it’s fall doesn’t mean it’s time to stop thinking about your landscaping. In fact, fall is the perfect time to plant trees, shrubs and bushes because they do better when planted in cooler temperatures—and honestly, planting in cooler temperatures is easier on you, too! Plant about up until the first hard frost to give roots a little time to establish themselves, and be sure to water and fertilize as recommended.
It’s also the right time to plant new lawns, give your yard a fall feeding and weeding and schedule an appointment to take care of your sprinklers before winter sets in. We are here to help with all of this, just give us a call!
Finally, if you are looking for some unique fall outdoor décor, we are getting lots of fun stuff in the Garden Center. We have select items at 50% off to help your yard make the transition from summer to fall.
Thank you for supporting your locally owned landscaping business. We are proud to be part of this community and are working hard to make it better than ever!
